A spacious and welcoming two‑storey home, Stanloch Farmhouse is the largest of our three properties and offers comfortable, practical accommodation for up to six guests across three generous bedrooms. It’s an ideal choice for families, couples travelling together, or anyone seeking a peaceful rural escape.

As you enter from the sandstone courtyard, you’ll find an open‑plan kitchen and living area overlooking the garden and surrounding farmland. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals during your stay, while the cosy living space includes books and games, making it easy to unwind after a day out. For added convenience, a walk‑in shower room and toilet are located on the ground floor.

The Farmhouse features a ground‑floor king bedroom, which is perfect for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs offers two further bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king‑size bed and views over the garden, and a twin bedroom with two single beds. The twin room can be made into a super‑king (on request) and features a Samsung Smart TV, giving children or teens their own space to relax.

Between the two upstairs bedrooms is the main bathroom, featuring a double sink, an LED/Bluetooth mirror, a heated towel rail, and an over‑bath shower. It’s the perfect spot to run a warm bubble bath and enjoy a book from our collection.

Outside, the Farmhouse opens onto a private enclosed garden and patio, ideal for taking in the rural views and fresh country air. With balls and garden toys provided, children can play safely while adults relax in the living room or outside on the patio.

Below are a few of our most frequently asked questions - hopefully these will help you plan your stay with us

  • No, our apologies, but due to being surrounded by local farmland we have made the difficult decision not to allow pets.

  • Yes, we have 2 EV chargers on site. 1 is for the sole use of Farmhouse guests and 1 is shared with guests of the Barn and Cottage. They are operated through the Monta app. Please let us know prior to arrival if you wish to use the charger and we will give you further details

  • Yes, we love to cater for families and children of all ages. We have 3 children ourselves so understand the logistics of travelling with them. We want your break to be a holiday for everyone.

    We have tried to provide as much as we can so you can pack as light as possible eg - children’s plastic plates, cutlery and cups, step stools, cot, highchair, night lights, stair gates, toys, books and games.

  • Yes, every house has it’s own private parking area and we can accommodate extra cars if necessary.

  • Although we are rural, the Steading has Full Fibre broadband. We don’t guarantee any specific speeds but thankfully, it’s not something we have an issue with.

  • We can’t always accommodate this, but if we can, we will always try our best. We pride ourselves in our high levels of cleanliness and attention to detail and so, to achieve this, changeovers can’t be rushed.

    Once a house is ready, we will always let you know so that you can take advantage of an earlier arrival.

  • The houses are very well equipped. We have tried to think of most eventualities.

    The kitchens are well equipped and have your day to day kitchen essentials provided eg - washing up liquid, salt/pepper, oil etc.

    Entertainment wise - all the houses have a games and book cupboard for you to use during your stay. There are also further toys, games and garden games provided in the games room.

    All linens, towels, cloths, tea towels and toilet rolls are provided

  • On booking a break with us, we provide a robust digital guest guide that gives you lots of further information on the property and the local area. Within this are recommendations of places to eat and things to do, whether that is something to do with the children or a local walk suggestion. We are often complemented on the information we provide to our guests
