This bright and spacious single‑storey cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing countryside break. It comfortably sleeps four guests across two welcoming bedrooms: a master room with a cosy king‑size bed, and a second bedroom with two comfortable single beds.

The modern bathroom has everything you need, including a large walk‑in shower, heated towel rail, toilet, vanity unit and an LED mirror. Soft towels, bath mats and eco‑friendly hand soap are all provided to help you settle in.

The open‑plan living area is a lovely space to unwind, with comfortable seating and a choice of board and card games tucked away in the sideboard for cosy evenings together. The 50‑inch smart TV lets you log in to your own accounts, making film nights easy. Patio doors open out onto your own seating area, overlooking a small garden. Private parking is available at Stanloch Barn, and an EV charger is on site should you need it (charged separately). Please note that the garden is not enclosed.

The kitchen and dining area are well equipped for everything from simple snacks to full home‑cooked meals. You’ll find a fridge, freezer, microwave, fan oven, induction hob, kettle and toaster, along with a dishwasher so no one is left doing the dishes. A washing machine and detergent are also provided for your convenience.

Underfloor heating runs throughout the cottage, keeping it warm and comfortable whatever the season.

From Spring 2025, guests will also be able to enjoy a shared games room across the courtyard, available to those staying at Stanloch Farmhouse, Barn and Cottage.

Because the cottage is surrounded by working farmland, we’ve made the difficult decision not to accept pets. At certain times of year, you may see tractors working in the nearby fields on this organic farm — something many guests enjoy watching as part of the rural experience.

Below are a few of our most frequently asked questions - hopefully these will help you plan your stay with us

  • No, our apologies, but due to being surrounded by local farmland we have made the difficult decision not to allow pets.

  • Yes, we have 2 EV chargers on site. 1 is for the sole use of Farmhouse guests and 1 is shared with guests of the Barn and Cottage. They are operated through the Monta app. Please let us know prior to arrival if you wish to use the charger and we will give you further details

  • Yes, we love to cater for families and children of all ages. We have 3 children ourselves so understand the logistics of travelling with them. We want your break to be a holiday for everyone.

    We have tried to provide as much as we can so you can pack as light as possible eg - children’s plastic plates, cutlery and cups, step stools, cot, highchair, night lights, stair gates, toys, books and games.

    Please note the king room within the Barn cannot accommodate a travel cot.

    The garden is also not enclosed in the Barn and so for young children you may prefer to look at the Cottage or Farmhouse.

  • Yes,the Barn has it’s own private parking space and we can also accommodate extra cars in the courtyard.

    Please just let us know if you are travelling with more than 1 car and we can advise the best place for you to park.

  • Although we are rural, the Steading has Full Fibre broadband. We don’t guarantee any specific speeds but thankfully, it’s not something we have an issue with.

  • We can’t always accommodate this, but if we can, we will always try our best. We pride ourselves in our high levels of cleanliness and attention to detail and so, to achieve this, changeovers can’t be rushed.

    Once a house is ready, we will always let you know so that you can take advantage of an earlier arrival.

  • The houses are very well equipped. We have tried to think of most eventualities.
